Why can’t I play Candy Crush Saga on iOS 9 and Android 4 anymore?

We’ve got some important news to share with you!
As of 16 May 2022, Candy Crush Saga will no longer support iOS 9 and Android 4.
You’ll need to upgrade the operating system on your device, which may mean you need to upgrade your device itself, so it’s best to check with your manufacturer to be certain.
If you don’t have a King account, or haven't got the game saved and connected to your Facebook, we recommend that you create one. This will ensure that all your hard-earned progress will not be lost but carried over when you update your operating system.

Unfortunately, if you’re not able to upgrade the operating system on your device, we can’t promise you’ll have the best game experience.
You won’t be able to play any new levels, and you won’t receive any new features or events. Online Player vs Player features will also be unavailable when playing on an older version of the game.
Please also be aware that we can’t guarantee that bugs and issues will be fixed for you since these will be resolved in new updates for the latest version of the game only.

Update iOS on your Apple device:
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
- Tap Automatic Updates, then turn on Download iOS Updates.
- Turn on Install iOS Updates. Your device will automatically update to the latest version of iOS or iPad OS. Some updates might need to be installed manually.

Update Android on your device:
- Open your phone's Settings app.
- Near the bottom, tap System and then System Update.
- You'll see your update status. Follow any steps on the screen.

What do I need to update to? Im running IOS 9.3.5 and dont want to lose my fun

@Iris_Burtniak Please update the iOS on the device to iOS 10 or later. If the device cannot be upgraded, we recommend to switch to a newer device.
You can easily transfer all levels to any other device with your King or Facebook account.

It's been nearly two weeks now since I have been able to play the game. The game loads properly but I am unable to move the candy pieces. I have looked at all previous posts and tried everything suggested, nothing helps. Please don't suggest that I play on a different platform as I only play this one game and I play through facebook on my computer. When will this be fixed? I miss playing the game.

I too only play on facebook on my computer and have the same issue. 😫

It is sad that it does not work anymore. So as of now since I cannot afford a new phone I need to stop playing the GAME. Had a lot of stress being the sole bread earner for family and also with my husband being jobless since last 4 years, Candy Crush was a good stress buster. But now that is also gone. I played last Level 12860 ☹️😭
