i don’t know what exactly happened but all of yesterday and last night I was in the lead to get all the boosters and at 2 minutes left a different person took my place that has never happened to me before
any one else had that happen to them before

I lost once like that, too.
This can happen because weekly contest scores often don't properly update. You can only be sure they are accurate if you just played a level. If you open weekly contest every now and then to check the scores and don't play, you are in danger of losing like that.
