I newly joined the King community website after playing loads of candy crush saga for the past few weeks, but since I joined I haven't been able to merge the community account with my in-game candy crush account. Although, I keep getting the banner notification to merge them both. When I click the button that takes me to my profile to merge them, the field for the merging process is not available on my account settings page and I've tried doing on my PC, it's still the same result. Please, help! And for some reason unknown I can't change my username on the King community

Hello @fnkiG - welcome to our friendly community. I am sorry to hear you are having this issue.
I’ll address your user name first - I believe only a CM can change it once you have created it so I will tag @Novapichu (one of the Candy Crush CMs) to help.
please be patient because it’s the weekend so she may not respond until Monday.
When you refer to your in game account- are you referring to your King account, which of course is different from your community account? You should be able to merge them together.
If the issue persists I suggest you report it to player support and see if they can help.
