Lost progress after connecting to facebook

My partner was well over level 2000 but was never logged in to Kingdom.
Tonight she connected to facebook and all of a sudden is now at level 1.
Can this be rectified?
Please help.

The Blog includes lots of steps on how to fix this problem yourself :-)
