There have been glitches in the past. Is it possible this is one that hasn't been detected yet?
As far as I know my game is up to date. How are you supposed to get ahead to more levels with magic hats - once all the spells are gone, there will be nothing left to earn

Is there a moderator on the forum anymore? This glitch just started today, the new levels that were just added are not syncing across my devices. All are up to date.
