The event Gold rush has appeared in players' games and there appear to be two versions of this. Moderators, is this a glitch or another silly testing feature?
The version I have had previously is a true gem: an event that let's players get back on their feet by re-playing any favourite old level 25 times to get 25 gold bars.
The other version is completely pointless, of having to play 30 new levels for 30 gold. Players are reporting this version does not accept old levels. This seems unachievable and pointless plus the episode race does more or less the same thing. I wonder therefore if it is a mistake, because the icon and wording used for both is the same as that generally used by King to represent "any level". You certainly cannot call the 30 level version a "Gold RUSH".
Please can someone flag this up and check it out, @Diamond_Lim maybe?
Unfortunately as I can't help you this question while I don't have playing this game. I am still Diamond Diaries Moderator that I can help the players on Diamond Diaries Community and also Community Hub. But let me tagging @bearwithme @Alienscar if they can check and help you soon. Thanks.
Hello @Diamond_Lim I can't answer the question asked by @christinewupp as I would need to be able to speak to King in order to know if they are testing different versions of Gold Rush.
Christine is referring to a thread started by @Carol-38 and to be honest I think Christine can find the answer to her question in that thread.
@Doondie has, I think, spotted an indicator that would point to the 30 gold bar Rush being a bug. If it isn't a bug then it is lazy programming.
The 30 gold bar Rush uses the pink level symbol that indicates that players do not have to complete a level on the first attempt to collect levels for the Gold Rush. If old levels can't be used then the 30 gold bar Rush should use the gold pass a level on first attempt symbol.
@Novapichu or @QueenB are the only people that can really answer Christine's question with any authority though.
