What device were you playing on before and now?
Were you using your Facebook login before?
Did you just create a new King account or did you have it from before? Have you linked it to your Facebook account or was it at a different level with no gold bars?
It's possible you've experienced the account merge glitch. You practically lose your Facebook created account's gold bars, account picture, name, game ID, everything except levels and friends. Unfortunately, Support won't help you. Been there, done that.
You could and should, however, write to Support if you manage to prove you had those gold bars and you lost them because of this app glitch. A forumite experienced the same a few months ago and they restored their 500 gold bars, claiming they couldn't do better anyway.
