I still have the option "not now" button - admittedly I'm only at level 5K.
For my Grandma's account, above level 14K, this feature was gone since from level 10K. Coupled with no Episode Race, there has been no regular source to earn gold bars.

Why do we have to keep adding people especially when we are getting no lives sent!!! And why are we being forced to play candy royalle ???? This game is no longer relaxing or fun to play! It's rather annoying !!! Guess it's time to leave the game again !!!! All for a buck ! Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves !! When I play on my phone, we have to watch infomercials that don't even pertain to us !!! And when I play on my PC we're forced to play things that we don't want to play !!!!

I like that too, play it together with episode race and collecting for the daily choc box, killing many birds with the same effort. The highest share I've got was 125 gold bars for playing 7 levels (sometimes it came as 8-level race). Quite a good deal, considering what you need to do (30 levels) to get the 30 gold bars in the recent Gold Rush event .
And I still have the "Not Now" button.
But hush, maybe I shouldn't say I love this feature, the quickest way to get King to remove it, like they changed the color of one candy order in level 1000 almost instantly after I posted here suggesting just to play level 1000 to fulfil all orders required in that Quests event.

There is no “Not Now” button. I attached the photo I took to show you.

There is no opt-out x or "not now". They're forcing the game on us. I just keep reloading and sometimes after 4 reloads, the Candy Royale goes away. I don't like to be forced to play something I don't want to play. Fix it, King.

Just make it STOP. I do not think the developers understand how something as annoying as this can cause people to play less or stop altogether. It is already beyond infuriating that most booster prizes are now just for increments of time or are awarded when I do not have time to play.

Thoroughly annoyed with Candy Royale not being optional but honestly sick of all the pop ups. It is so aggravating. I play to ease my anxiety and I feel like I’m constantly trying to X out of things versus actually playing

I think that when you play in the lower levels there are more players who have completed those levels so there are more random players for the game to choose from than someone playing up in the 10000+ levels. Most elimantions from candy royale occur in the first two levels which gives a rough idea of what your share will be for completing all the levels. To get a big pot there needs to be 10 or fewer players left in after the second level, a few more will get eliminated before the end but a few will stick it out & finish the levels. I always tried to start on a difficult level & have other difficult levels in the same group of 7 or 8 levels to get the numbers down.

If you play on a PC @Lady_Choo have you tried pressing the 'esc' button?
If that doesn't work someone else suggested pressing Ctrl+X (I think).
