It must have been great fun for the family to crush together, starting in 2016 from level one all the way passing 14000 together. While I was on my internship overseas, Grandma would share with me how she enjoyed collecting boosters and gold bars, and uploading pictures of newly released levels to CCS Wiki at Fandom. She had however lost her passion in the game for a while, and I was trying to revive her interest, getting her to coach me. So I started playing since end of last year.
She is joining me playing for this Summer Candy Cup.
@Scooterpie @christinewupp @CherylTeoh I started the new levels over 14 hours after they were released. Below is my take, also posted elsewhere, on the Summer Candy Cup:
What a joke this totally unfair contest is @QueenB @Diamond_Lim I have just completed the 45 newly released levels and now have no more bonus levels to play. After 45 levels, I am no better than 4th. with over 2 days to go. My Leaderboard is headed by a Bot and I have my doubts about 2nd. and 3rd also. 421,677 points in 20 hours, farcical ๐๐๐๐
Obviously the designers of these events couldn't care less about those at the highest levels and don't have the skills to prevent Bots infiltrating the game.
I have finished the new levels and totally agree with @Banished
As has become normal practice, there was the smattering of fraudulent levels specifically designed to extract money from the player. The worst were 14421 and 14463. These levels are virtually impossible to complete without buying extra moves, as the ingredients doesn't drop regularly enough to fill the order in the allocated moves.
I am now used to playing an inferior product week in, week out.
@Peter_Tornaros @christinewupp @CherylTeoh I started my contest yesterday later on and when I stopped playing for the night, I was in 11th place. Hard group it looks like I have been thrown in with, not my luck this time. Plan on doing other things with the game and doing some more new levels later in the day. I have only completed the 1st eighteen. Looks like no chance for me...
p.s. So looks like it's a no go on trying the Star Tournament at this time....
I think you have made the right decision. I've just had a go at the Star Tournament for trying to fill my Chocolate Box, hoping to get the timing right this time. Those levels are horrible, fortunately they count for the first few boxes where you don't need new levels. But I wouldn't bother trying to pass them. It's not fun.
Well, I finished all my new levels and this is the best that I could do with using them. Too much time left on the clock to worry about it.
The 3rd Episode was the worst one for me. @Peter_Tornaros I agree about Level 14461 but I did complete it and Level 14421 without extra moves.
Did get an Episode Race on my 1st Episode and won 30 bars of gold so that was a plus.
Not Bots my friend just people manipulating the programming flaws, they find a new clean 9x9 board and don't let the order drop (usually requires a move) just never make a move and blast away until you can't stand it anymore or you run out of boosters!! that is the new norm. unfortunately, so you got to join the tom foolery or just let it go!!!
FYI I spent about three hours total!!!
Sorry, @Boybinary what is the point of that in this CandyCup competition??? You use boosters to win boosters? I can see why you would use this strategy in the All Stars event, but for the Candy Cup?
I have a conscience and a respect for other players, some of whom could really use 30 party poppers. I will not use boosters I gained through any way other than buying with gold bars and I certainly won't be wasting any party poppers in the final, even though I do know of a free way to get lots of UFOs. I won't use them to deny someone else the first prize.
Your strategy, surely, must mean you have found a way to get infinite party poppers. Be kind to other players and don't spoil the game for them by using them to win this event. The player you beat will be a real person sitting somewhere, not a bot either.
