Is portrait view a test or not?

Can we get an answer on whether the unplayable portrait view is a test or a permanent change. I have seen both answers given by the “moderators”. Some say there is no plan to change back to landscape others say it is a test. WHICH IS IT!?

I would like to know too. I DO NOT like the portrait view. It makes the board much smaller!
