It may not be obvious to most players but King have recently made the game vigorously more difficult to complete levels by significantly reducing the number of moves available at the same time reducing rewards such as the Pig going down from 60 bars to 30 bars at the same price, boosters (Magic Dash) going back to zero after one failed level etc. Take for example level 3791. The original level had 30 moves now it is reduced to the low 20's. Same applies to most levels. Personally this for me is a big game changer. I have stopped playing. Its unclear to their motive, they wouldn't explain publicly anyway (oh...we want to make it more challenging for players, yeah sure!!!, whatever) but I suspect they see revenue falling and are locking in the gamblers based on what their machine learning algorithms are telling them. Sad...if you feel compelled to keep buying in a much reduced format then you are the pawn in the game...maybe its time you rethought King and Candy Crush and decided time to move on...as I have after years of dedication.
