Inconsistent version of the game

This is for windows but I suspect it affects other versions.

When you log out and close the game and then log back in sometimes you get the old map, sounds, music and so on not the new ones. Heck one time I got a totally different set all together, the candy sounded like... well candy.

This can last for quite some time while levels don't play different some post level booster triggers don't happen.

Version 1.2601.1.0 (thought it has happened since I started a few years ago.) Always used the windows app version for long term play.

Another thing that is interesting is that there are a number of SS in the Microsoft store. I have never actually had the game screen look like that until this most recent install, ie the bottom and top were always an older style.

Also around a year ago, before the new paths and screens, I mostly noticed different music and different candy sounds with sometimes different event level order. Ie getting the first frog level long before it actually explains what it was.

Now you also get the old and new style maps, ie moving vertically in a sudo 3rd person vs back and forth snake style.

Two more things:

One the very odd occasion a level would straight up change once you closed the app and came back. This was not on a patch update or later levels that got updated. Had it happened a twice or so and it would be pre 2000 though I don't think that affects anything.
Once I got frost blockers instead of bombs when you first would be doing bomb levels. It went away the next day which was good because it straight up broke a level. I know there is some randomization to the events you get but this was a whole set of levels. It was kinda odd to say the least.
