A few things can happen.

You log out. It can take a few levels for stuff to appear again. It will not be immediate. Events and such have triggers, usually a level completed, start of the day, reset of the event, new season, etc.
If you reformatted your data was likely reset. This can reset all the triggers, even the "you earned a new booster" and it can take a day before a lot of stuff comes back.

Try to close and open the app it can trigger some stuff sometimes. Deleting local data is fairly destructive as far as events go. That being said, at least in the windows store version you start again with 5 lives... No comment on that one haha.
