A Candytastic Experience, but not over the moon...(what can we do to improve)?
I very much (!) doubt that this is true. In all previous contests of this kind the top 3 or 5 players all went through, being the ones coloured differently (gold) on the board. Think of it this way: What is the purpose of running these types of tournaments? To make money. How does King make the best profit from this type of tournament? By giving as many players as they can the opportunity to progress to later rounds. The more players in the quarter finals, the more profit. Why would they want to only let the top players get past the qualifiers? No way. I don't believe that even if it is written in the terms and conditions.

@jefe420 This was clarified by QueenB in a comment on page1 of this thread as there are also discrepancies beween the various in-game screens related to this event. As you mentioned, only the T&C apply. And the leaderboard confirm which positions (1 to 5 for qualifiers) pass to the next level.

With the new green apples replacing bubblegum squares, gummi dragons are already curious about these juicy fruits.
I'd like to tell them that it does their bodies good to take a crunchy bite out of these sweet fruits from birth. An apple a day for them keeps the doctor away!

Once again, Izzy knows that all you Crushers will find that UFO fleet too tempting to turn down for your candy-crushing quest. So she'll cheer you on to help you score the biggest harvest to help you take that top prize!
For this cheerleading kit, I decided to make her head ribbon, pom-poms and shoes green to reflect the granny smith apples that replace the green bubblegum squares, while coloring her bra and skirt to resemble the candy UFO, complete with striped bands reflective of the UFO's rim. The bra also has a symbol for the green apples players must now crush to compete for the UFOs!
"Give me a U! F! O!" would be one of her chants for this event.
