@QueenB it takes just too much time/effort to try to compete when players are on the upper levels. The advantage to players who have unlimited new levels is just too great. Most players time is limited and mine will be for most of the time thru February of next year.
Side games are much more relaxing and entertaining and everyone can play as their time allows.
What time I have to play Candy Crush will be spent on completing the new levels and as always trying stuff out.
Everyone is not going to like everything! Understood and accepted. Everyone play your own way, it is the only and best way...

This event is as pointless as the new Adventure Path event that also forces players to play new levels.
For everyone at the top of the map, you're probably not missing much if you don't have enough new levels available.
I can do this event, but I'm not biting, King. Bring back the scoreboards. Bring back the cascade bonus.
