Sure enough I get the announcement of special games with potential for extra rewards and I get Sweet Crew forced upon me again where I am forced to give my hard earned rewards to others. Between this constant enforcement of Sweet Crew and timed rewards being used up by watching ads, I am done with this game.
Frankly, I don’t appreciate game designers who force play modes on players. I have determined who I want to connect with. Most times I just want to play the solitaire game that is Candy Crush. If you’re going to compel Sweet Crew or Candy Royale, create a version so people who choose such random engagement can play them. Otherwise let us opt out.
These forced-participation games just add useless time between levels, where players are forced to watch graphics that drain device battery life, eat timed booster use, and extend playing time unnecessarily.
If you want to support players, let them choose how they play. All sub-games or “crew” engagements should be opt-in only, not mandated.
Ah that's why I was suddenly being offered extra moves plus striped candy for 16 gold! Thanks for explaining this @Kerrie , I hadn't noticed the connection with Sweet Crew and was wondering what this change was all about. I guess next time I'll chose to contribute that option myself, so I won't ever get those pointless extra two moves in my game. Not many players like this feature, I don't know why they keep bringing it back.
It hampers your game rather than helps it! So it replaces adverts for some, makes extra moves more expensive for others and from what I have seen in my game it makes not the slightest bit of difference as to whether you will pass a level or not. Not once did the extra moves or the lollipop hammer help me pass the level. Anyone have any different, more positive experience to share?
