Why can't I open my candy crush app?

Every time I try to open the app on my phone the app crashes. It didn't even update so I'm not sure what's going on. The last time it did this, I deleted and reinstalled the app and then I lost any booster that I had.

I'm having the exact same issue on my iPhone 6s. Device and app software are up to date. When I open the app the screen changes from orange to blue and then crashes to my home page. It's been happening since May 14th. It seems to me this is the same issue that occurred on Jan 11/17 in which candy crush worked on fixing the bug.
