...it's time to celebrate all the fire-breathing lizards that have clawed their way into this game thus far! But first, of course, allow Izzy to grace us with her wicked Crush-Fu black belt mastery!
Now, here's a timeline of major dragon appearances throughout more than 11 years of candy crushing:
March 23: 2012: Lemonade Lake, the third episode of the game, debuts on the web browser version and introduces a male dragon residing in the lake, otherwise known as Mr. Dragon. (His last appearance is in Sweet Surprise, the 15th episode released later into the year on October 11th.)
April 23, 2013: Denize, a new dragon of the same species, debuts in the game's 25th episode, Fudge Islands, where she uses her flame breath to help Berry. Mr. Dragon himself would not have been able to breathe fire due to drinking too much lemonade from his lake. However, she too lives in the lake as well.
Summer 2017: Denize begins hosting the Star Dust event on mobile versions, where players compete to earn as many stars as possible from clearing levels within a limited time.
March 2018: Denize is revealed to have a daughter named Didi, who is the first of two Candy Pets the player can feed in a special limited time event.
2022: Denize steps out of Lemonade Lake multiple times to actively participate in special events.
May 2023: Gummi dragons, purported to also be Denize's children, replace ingredient drop levels. Players must rescue them by dropping their eggs off the board into designated drop zones.
December 2023: The Hungry Hatchling event introduces another young pink dragon girl who the player must guide to eat Sweetstones by reaching certain levels, which change parts of her body as she eats them and grows.
Today, Denize looks like this on the map, since 2023:
May the fortune of these friendly firebreathers continue to keep this game sweet!
Thank you to @snakegore999 for your detailed narration of the dragon history in CCS. I regret that I did not pay attention to so many 'generations of evolution' of the CCS dragons. Thank you to you again.
