Hello and welcome to the community @IsabellaDaballa !
I would like to just post something here for clarification, as you seem to think it might be possible for you to "somehow end up in the finals" . THAT is not possible.
To every hopeful here: This is NOT a lottery. The chances of a player just making it to the final by chance are zero per cent, which is less than for any national lottery. Only an experienced player has a chance of winning this event.
It will be easy enough for any good player who is really determined to get past the qualifiers, because in the early rounds participant numbers are not limited.
But it is from Stage 4 where the event will suddenly get very serious, so I copy this again here from the first page. This is the round where millions of players will be reduced to thousands.
It’s not just candy you’re collecting, it’s glory!
Goal: First place to advance. If you don’t make it, you are out of the competition.
When: 20th April, 09:00AM EDT - 24th April, 03:00AM EDT.
One step closer to the ultimate victory.
Goal: First place qualifies for the next round. If you don’t make it, you are out of the competition.
When: 24th April, 09:00AM EDT - 27th April, 03:00AM EDT
These two rounds will be brutal. So be prepared for this. They last over seven days with only a 6 hour break in between. Someone somewhere will be so determined that they will try to go without sleep. I hope it won't be you!
@QueenB I still have not had an answer as to how King intend to police the sharing of a game in a multiple person household, i.e. friends living together and taking shifts playing, during these two sleepless mega rounds?
@christinewupp there is no realistic way for King to know who is playing game, so players sharing their login is always going to be a risk. Obviously the T&Cs state that no one is allowed to share their login credentials with anyone else, but it could be argued that letting someone play your game isn't the same as sharing your login details.
I suppose King could do some checks to see how long a player has played, and anyone caught playing for 36 hours (as an example) without a break is obviously doing something they shouldn't.
Thanks for the info! Can you define “serious player”?
as for someone mentioning playing for 38 hours straight and doing something bad (multiple players) … There are some of us insomniacs where its not uncommon to be awake for 48 to 72 hrs. But I agree those are the outliers
