How are peoples score keep changing but it shows the last time they played was yesterday?

I have been working on passing levels and as soon as I move up the leader board the top spots number jumps drastically and drops me down. When I click on those players it shows last time played as yesterday. How does that even work. All the cheaters are making this discouraging.

Hi and Welcome to the King Community
King does not condone cheating and their team is always working on improving the games and finding ways to stop such behavior. If our in-game cheater detection system detects suspect game play, they will investigate it further. If cheating has occurred the player will be suspended.

The Player Card can't be trusted to show you accurate information @beatrizfelix01 so please don't try to use it to judge anything about your competitors.
The other day my Player Card was showing that I had played 'today' when I hadn't played since 23:00 the previous day.
Also we have seen an example of a Player Card that shows a player on level zero, which obviously doesn't exist.
