Thank you for sharing this information, which is really interesting! It shows some very crafty strategy on behalf of SV: come late from behind, overtake to just take the lead, then sit back and watch the opposition and in the last half hour crush just enough to snatch it. The boards at the top are not extraordinary, but the fact that SV was not on the top 6 at 5.26 hrs left , but at the top three hours later I calculate they must have scored about 2 million in 3 hours, which is 666,000 per hour, about 3 times what I calculated a good player can achieve via normal game play. There are certainly methods to achieve that kind of score, but whether those are "in the spirit of fair play" is questionable.
What I find even more interesting from these screenshots is the fact that seemingly the player in second place stopped playing in the last 2 and a half hours. That is bizarre. Were they one of the many players who had the leaderboard just disappear on them? Did they get kicked out so close to the end? I would really like to know why Lark gave up, when according to the score they were so very close.
Marc17340 seems to be the player deserving a place in the finals on this board, judging from these excellent screenshots. I hope he'll be the one King invite.
How bizarre, King just sent my post for approval. A shame, as I had some good points to make. Never mind, maybe it will appear here later. Thank you very much for posting this interesting timeline @castellobranco . Sorry my post get sent for approval. Maybe King don't want us or don't want me to discuss this.
