My game use to have 'sweet cinema' and some times 'treasure hunt' which allowed me a chances to watch ads to get boosters. They have both been absent recently. Are they gone for good?

Used to be like that for the Win App version but since Nov they have really put some work into making it stable. Stuff vanishing is a bit alarming now.
To be honest I'm quite used to things disappearing then reappearing again. That's why I always say give it a few days. I don't even bother guessing the reasons anymore, there are too many mysteries behind the King cave door 🤴⛰️🚪
Interesting, seems odd they were removed for 2 days. Rapid bug fix patches maybe? Maybe they wanted them gone until they did a larger update for them so there would not be any weird event changing.
What is more interesting, I have not seen ol Sam in a bit. Wonder if he finally got all the candy he needed.
Well I've jut got my Sweet Cinema and Treasure Hunt back. Can't see any difference for me, I'm still getting the Lollipop Hammer. Just got advert after advert to watch, got bored before they ran out, so will try again later. Need to concentrate on my Chocolate Box 😁
I think they are removing stuff to test new stuff. I lost the chocolate box but got the supercharge wrapped… dear GOD that is insanely good. 12 gold, 30 min wrapped that do a 2x2 then a 3x3, a 5x5 with a striped and a 3x3 and 3x3 with a double, hard to tell on the last one, the effect is larger than the radius of the damage. Also UFO and wrapped + Fish drop the supercharged ones. Ones that are part of the staring grid do not get upgraded though… that would be super broken haha.
Things we have not seen/limited release
I suspect King does not want to have too many sources of xyz so they removed some stuff, but might not have had the new stuff 100% ready or are waiting for the weekend.
Also I suspect King is going to remove more and more of the ad related stuff. Considering how much ad revenue has gone down, they might not be worth keeping. This would also allow unification of events across all platforms.
It seems quite a few of us are missing them today @GSH10 I think only time will tell. It's possible there is a problem that's being sorted and we'll get them back eventually. Let's see what happens in the next couple of days.
