I’ve played game #6979 repeatedly today and the number of moves to buy remains at 5 moves for 10 gold bars. It used to moves in increments of 5. I updated app & it still has this issue.
King have tried this before and removed the added moves from some test groups. It didn't last long last time and I doubt it will last long this time, so hold on and make sure your app is updated and you reload the game on Monday when the new season should start. Don't ever pay more than 10 gold bars to move on. Wait until you get close enough that 5 moves will definitely be enough or wait until the game lets you pass or the moves increase again.
O.K., if they remove this feature, the situation is going to be much harder!
Most of the good features tend to be removed!

That "added extra moves" after every lose is a feature - that is still being tested! If you lost it from your game, it could mean either the feature is switched off or the feature is shuffled to other group of players!
If it is because either of those reasons, then, it will not come up after updating the game! But, please do not reinstall your game as it will not resolve the issue.
