Hello @UnicoRN98 welcome to the community!
No, do NOT wait until the Candy Cup is nearly ended to join!!!!
This strategy works only during qualifier and knockout rounds, during which a different system is used. For the final there is a limited and specified number of leaderboards, 10,000 to be precise. Once there are players on all the leaderboards, which will be very soon after the event starts, anyone joining later will be added to the same leaderboards, so if you join late you might find that the leaders are already way ahead! There will be 10,000 winners in the Candy Cup, and each one will get the prize of the Party Boosters.
This is a live events and all players in all countries play at the exact same time. You will have a countdown timer in your game to tell you when the event will start. In fact my clock says it will start in 35 minutes, which is 09.00 hours in Germany.
To stand a best chance of winning, start early and play as much and for as long as you can.
Don't spend more gold or money on this competition than the party poppers are worth!
Good luck to you and to everyone in this community who is in the final!
I am a bit curious if the 10000 all start at the same time or they fill to say 20 then the next one starts until all 10000 exist. Wondering if they are staggered a bit. Gonna find out in a min or two.
Well looks like it was staggered somewhat or I am in the easiest bracket in existence.
Also
Neat I will qualify for the Final in the Final
I have two finals leaderboards in two games. Initially there were only a few players and one was slower to fill than the other but both now have between 45-50 players and in each the top one has a score or around 400,000. According to the Terms and Conditions "For the Final Stage - Players will be evenly distributed across 10,000 Final Stage leaderboards. " To me that would imply they fill them all evenly and at the same time. What does your leaderboard look like?
