Why is build a bot not working?

Hi @Sammyjo, yes it happened to me too. The studio must have changed the way this challenge now works.

I understand how the build a bot works. However, This new feature is really awful. It isn’t winning moves on currently won levels. I won two levels and did not win any moves. I have earned all my moves, and am not wasting any of them on this glitch. I am also not spending money on moves to win current levels. This is an especially bad feature for people who are as high up in the game such as myself whom are on level 4,3335. And not going anywhere due to this feature. I have been playing for around five years.

Actually! I have not played it yet. It just appeared in my game also about an hour ago or so. And yes! It did seem different than the one I had yesterday.

Will give it a try tomorrow and update you on that (it’s almost midnight for me). Hope it’s ok with you

Yes, hopefully it will be changed to the old mode! But, I don't think it will be by tomorrow though

Level 4,335 is also having a lot of issues. I hope these will be worked out before the new levels come out tomorrow.

I know! I completely understand you being upset with this new feature... and yes, there are many others who are not liking it too. There is a chance of these features getting tweaked / changed when they get lots of feedback about a single feature. Hope this one also fits into that category

If you don't mind, I would like to clarify one thing... You have not seen any boosters after you won those new levels? If so, that should not happen at all!! Can you please do a favor for me?
(1) Take Screenshot of the "Build-a-Bot" tab --- When you click on the "Trophy" icon, you can see the "Space Race" & "Build-a-Bot" events. I need a screenshot from that place;
(2) A screen shot of your current level -- The pic of the Game Board once you open the level

(1) The feature we had till few days ago worked both on new and passed levels. But this "New" Build-A-Bot is supposed to work only for the new levels. Is it not doing that in your game?

Just in case if you are not sure how it works —- we get free booster(s) for each NEW level we win and the Boosters keep increasing. First, we get a Color Bomb! Second Level - A color Bomb & Striped & Wrapped Candies; 3rd win - Extra 3 moves and the other boosters we gained; by the end of the 5th win, we will have 2 color bombs, 2 striped & 2 wrapped candies & extra moves. These boosters will continue to appear on the board till we loose a level. Once we lost a level, we have to start from the beginning (just like other challenges).

** If you have not seen any of this, please post back by explaining what's happening with the feature in your game. To reply, please click on "Type your Comment" box OR by tagging me with @ and my name, just like how I wrote your name above.

(2) With regards "Denize Star Competition" -- I am guessing it might be getting fixed or being tested as there were some glitches for players in getting rewards. I am not sure, but will update you once I know anything about this feature

Build a bot is not working on my current game, passing new levels and of course old levels. However, I am not wasting any of my earned moves on a glitch that needs to be fixed. Denize also did not load this week. Apparently I’m not the only one this is happening to.

Thanks, again, for your time and attention in this matter. I am very familiar with the different booster programs and levels, as I have been playing for about a year, now. I have noticed a few new changes with this new Booster Bot - you can no longer play previously won levels to gain more boosters- when you lose a game level, you only lose a level at a time on Booster Bot-you can't use these boosters to play previous levels. Since it looks like this new program will be present all of the time, as evidenced by no timer present, why would I lose all of my boosters from one day to the next? Now, last night I re- earned all the Booster Bot levels, however, I had to use my newly earned UFO, and some cherished hand switches. I am disabled, and I can't afford to buy boosters, so I have earned enough boosters to get myself to level 2000 last night. Thanks for your help, and have a great day!

I have not seen the timer either. So, I am guessing this is something similar to the “Rainbow Road” that is available in “Candy Soda” game. In that game, this feature is available all the time!

Thank you for your quick response to my question. When I click on the new Booster Bot Tab I do not see a timer. I understand how the other booster promotions worked on a timer, because the timer could be easily seen, and you could plan your play accordingly. The Booster Bot, before the new one that was just released a few days ago, did have a timer, but the new Booster Bot does not. Maybe I am missing the timer somehow. I just did not/do not see a timer for this new Booster Bot. Could you please look into this for me? Thank you very much.

To answer you question, the "Build a Bot" event doesn't reset but it RE-STARTS. It is a time limit hence, it ends when the timer sets to 00:00:00 You might have noticed the timer running when you click on "Build A Bot" tab. So, as soon the timer ends, the boosters also disappear, just like other challenges, for ex: Tiffy's Lovely Letters, Seasons Stockings, etc.,

Does the new Booster Bot reset to zero every week? I lost all of my boosters that I had on it yesterday.

Well, now I know why build-a-bot "isn't working." Not good.

I have just deleted Candy Crush from both my tablet and phone. After playing for a few years, I won’t be anymore. You have taken away our ability to earn boosters by playing previous levels?? Not good....

Now in addition to the sugar track issues, I am not collecting build a bot rewards when I complete a level. I don't know if it will work on just the new levels or not as I am stuck on a 'nightmarishly hard level'.
In the past it has worked on previous levels so I hope this does not reflect a change in the way the rewards are accumulated. Many times I rely on being able to use those rewards to pass the more difficult levels. Not sure why there are so many issues with Candy Crush recently. I have been playing consistently for 6 years and have never had this many issues.

Have to agree. This is just a pure grab for more money. You absolutely need to be able to build bots on levels already completed.

Hey guys, have you seen the new Build-A-Bot?

@Debbie_Garner, someone in my Facebook group told me today that previously she was able to replay old levels, and like you said it's no longer working that way. I never was able to replay old levels so maybe they are making some changes or maybe it's another testing thing because look at this new image of it.

@Van_3, I have noticed many changes with the challenges lately but I have no clue what's going on. I know they are all set on time frames - starting and ending. I am going to keep my eyes posted in the community for the next few days to see if I can collect data on these challenges from the player's messages to find out what's going on with them.

With new levels today I find that I do get boosters on the new levels but of course you only have to fail once and that is gone and you are back to nothing. I will probably give up very soon as it just isn't fun any more.

They changed it. You can’t go back to previous levels now, have to start where you are and go forward.

Can't participate in most of the challenges & now don't get boosters for Build a Bot. Please add boosters back for players who are waiting for more levels to be added. You encourage people to play old levels, but if you take away incentives, there's no point replaying.

The Build a Bot was a way to increase boosters on levels that I had passed. It was a really good incentive to gain boosters for the more difficult levels. I'm not into playing difficult levels for ages based on pure luck and I do not want to spend a load of money buying boosters. This has ruined the game. I've been playing since it first started and have reached level 4214 but I fear that this last snatch of rewards from KING is the final straw. Please reinstate Build a BOt for all levels, whether they have been passed or not

When I win a level the bot is not activated. I have read that it no longer works on the already completed levels but for me it doesn't work even on newly completed ones.
Please advise if this is a different issue. Note that if build a bot is not going to be available on already completed levels then I will probably stop playing.

It appears King no longer wants us to play Candy Crush Saga- reset gone, build a bot gone, previous level to earn boosters now useless because so many moves taken away etc etc. Candy Crush was always my favourite game but now I am totally sick of it. Why do King not just delete the whole thing and have done with it. The replacement called Candy Crush Friends is boring boring!
