John, the answer to most magic mixers is that you have to hit them between 3-6 times, based on the level. On this level, I believe I counted 5 hits just now, as I tested it. Although the fish used to successfully attack the magic mixers, and although they're still programmed to go to it, they do NOTHING. You need to hit each one 5 times with stripes or a stripe/combo or lollihammers to get rid of them.
