This event has popped up in my latest game, once I reached level 200.

I agree with @Kerrie that there is something not right about the other players. I have not noticed any name changes, but almost all of the them are "Player" and quite definitely other players' score just suddenly stop increasing. All but one other player's score remained unchanged when there were about 21 hours left to play. With 13 hour left to play it appears that the leader also stopped playing and I was able to overtake them. This reminds me of "Beat the Buffet", for those who remember that event, where it was similar with other players stopping before the time was up. Are we playing recordings? I do not believe this is a live event. However I do like the prize and at this level range I can win the event, which is nice.
