I was finally able to pass the level shortly after I posted for help.
I'm sorry but I'm not sure how to assist you with this one @Deal_One . I did just pass it on my eleventh or twelfth attempt, but I am not sure if I did anything clever, it was just luck. As always I played the first move the game suggested and then any move I saw which would create a colour bomb, a wrap or a striped candy. So on my starting board below I started with the blue wrap and then matched the purples on the right to create a horizontal stripe and to get rid of some liquorice as well.
At this point I had cleared a few rows with this strategy and had a colour bomb, but I did not see any opportunity to make a combo with it at all.
So I matched the purples to get rid of the liquorice, my next best choice if I see no combo and no chance to make a special candy.
Now I got a chance to make an orange horizontal stripe and I carried on making striped candies.
I am quite methodical with that. The double stripe combo clears two bombs and some frosting for me.
At this point below I decide to play the colour bomb against the blue, because this will mean the blue stripe will get rid of the last two bombs.
The result is this:
Above I can make an orange horizontal stripe. .
First I make the purple match on the left to allow the dragon to drop, then I make the match to set off the orange stripe.
This is looking quite hopeful now, though I can't see anything obvious that will help me pass. But I can make a colour bomb, so that's what I do.
Never miss a chance to make a colour bomb, that's rule number one of Candy Crush. I have another chance, so that's what I do.
Still no obvious winning move, but yet another chance to make a colour bomb on the left. I make a third colour bomb even though I can't yet see what good it will be.
Now I make the match to create a striped candy.
I made an error at this point. There was probably a better move, but I made the match to make a blue stripe near the top, I sort of thought if I then match the three greens I'll have a blue stripe/colour bomb combo, but that did not happen, so this was not the best move with hindsight, but the game helped me anyway: With one move left I get this stripe/colour bomb combo, I don't even know how this formed, but it turns out to be a winning move.
Good luck on this level! You will need it. Just follow the general rule to make stripes, wraps and colour bombs where you can and eventually you should get lucky.

Ads that start with scrolling green line across bottom and green OPEN rectangle "crash" most of the time. Only the green line ones have problem. Problem: ad plays, x appears top right corner.
