This occurs if players set the clock or date forward on their phones and then go to play Candy Crush while that date is set wrong.
To put this right you have to set the clock on your phone forward by more than 2648 minutes while the game is open. Set the date on your phone forward 3 days into the future, that should be enough. Check that the game states you have "full lives" and then immediately set the time on your phone back to "automatic", the correct time and date. That will reset the timer in the game.
