Gold bars not added - programming problem?

This afternoon I finished some contest in third place and Candy Crush Saga displayed a graphic saying I won five gold bars. However, back to the game I saw that the five gold bars were not added. To explain,, I had three gold bars at the time, CCSaga said I won five gold bars, and then I still only had three gold bars when I should have had eight. Once again I am wondering how well updates are tested.

I had this happen as well. I was trying to figure out how to mine I purchased.

I also had two instances a year or so ago when I used gold bars to purchase boosters. CCSaga took my gold bars and didn't give the boosters to me. That was the last time I ever tried doing that.
