Facebook always changes the rules and how the games work! So, you will have to check the "notifications settings" on Facebook!
You should see some information about this in your game "Help Center"!

I am playing on android mobile, I have played it before 2,3 years and started again on same account that is connected through facebook, I have not invite any friends but I think it should show me facebook friends…
