Level 1
Dragon isn’t dropping until 5 moves or less!
Impossible to compete
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Hello @keltickween
Level 9034 is yet another frog level that has recently been redesigned by the game team. I managed to pass this with starting boosters and admittedly a lot of luck using the following strategy:
Starting boosters gave me a useful combo that helped quickly remove the ice, collect licorice, and open all order locks early.
After charging the frog, I used it to block the licorice dispenser, preventing the licorice from dropping and blocking the leftmost column. It will be very helpful later on when I need to remove the toffees in the leftmost column to make the dragon drop there.
With 5 moves left, the dragon is about to drop. It can drop from either dispenser, but I'd prefer it to drop from the middle one AND fall onto the conveyor belt in one move My goal was to create a vertical stripe underneath the dispenser and set it off with 5 moves left, but my board gave me a different opportunity.
The column under the middle dispenser only contains yellow and blue candies. I matched three yellows next to the color bomb box in the top row to activate it and remove all yellows from the board. The remaining blues were all matched, and the dragon emerged from the middle dispenser and fell down onto the conveyor belt, just as I wanted. The conveyor belt movement positioned the dragon just above the portal.
Thankfully, there are three reds under the portal in the middle of the board that I can match to bring the dragon through the portal and to the middle section.
I have to bring it down on the conveyor belt either now or on my next move. I matched greens to create a horizontal stripe, and after some explosions, the candies underneath the dragon were cleared, causing it to fall on the conveyor belt. Lucky. Again, the conveyor belt movement brought the dragon to the spot above the portal.
Now I need to bring the dragon through the portal and to the leftmost column. I must do it now, otherwise the conveyor belt will move it away from the portal. Ideally, I would like to set off a combo that hits the candies and toffees in the leftmost column and causes the dragon to drop there, but I don't have any. However, I can match the three blue candies next to the bonbon blitz. It will remove two blue candies from the leftmost column and also set off a blue stripe in the center.
The result was amazing. The blue stripe fired and removed the green candy from the leftmost column, leaving only one toffee and three reds between the dragon and its exit.
The level in it's current version is indeed very tricky. It requires both preparation and extreme luck. In the preparation phase, you need to clear the ice, open all order locks, get rid of the licorice blocking the leftmost column, and hopefully set up something that will allow you to drop the dragon onto the conveyor belt. After that, you'll need luck to bring the dragon all the way through the conveyor belts and portals in the four moves you are given. It turned out to be possible. Watch out for opportunities. Some of them are not very obvious, like using the bonbon blitz.
Hopefully you get as lucky as I did and pass this level soon.
You are correct. I have checked this level out in my game it does appear to be impossible to pass in the moves given, which is just 19 moves. King appear to have made some changes to the level design and the dragon does indeed only drop 4 moves from the end making this level impossible to pass without paying gold for extra moves or playing multiple boosters such a UFOs or party popper. The question is whether this is a deliberate change of the level design or if this is an unintentional glitch.
Hi and Welcome to the King Community
Thank you for the feedback , can you please take a screenshot level 9034?
Dragon isn’t dropping until only 4 moves are left. Tried for three days and it’s always the same. It’s impossible to win with only 4 moves to eject the dragon
I’ve watched videos of others playing and it’s not like this

Thanks so much for all your responses! Now I know that the dragon intentionally waits until the last 4 moves.
