Stop announcing events!!

@QueenB Why don't you stop announcing up coming events and the ones currently running. Half the players I'm sure do get them. It just makes me upset to see these events when you are at the top of the game. WHY can't events be released to all players ? Oh it's a test of course that what I'm sure you will say. King has been testing for years it's odd how the don't test windows players or high level players. Players at the top don't have many new levels so we are out of luck. I assume King would like for us to spend money to stay at the top or just stop playing. Is that the plan ? I'm sorry I know @QueenB that you cannot answer or help I just had to get it out of my system.

I'm with you @cookiemae unbelievable that they are allowed to discriminate against the top players just because they win! Haters going to hate, I guess! Maybe a class action lawsuit should be in order.

@QueenB So King pick and choose which players get to play certain events. The winter cup should be available to every player. It's not like they would need a passport. Why can't we all have the same event? Is the winter cup a test also? Why? We all should have this event regardless where and what level we are on. @QueenB I really want an answer. It makes no sense to pick and choose who get this event. I am so heated because I didn't have it. Plus getting the fake flag. What's the point of that? Just don't put it in the game if a player cannot play it?

I agree with you everyone should get to participate but I also think players should have a choice to OPT out if they do not want to participate. These events are getting tedious and I would personally rather not collect blue candies for the next two weeks. I wish they would find a new event rather than just recycling old events. Happy Holidays🎅

Playing, or was, Winter Cup. Won first place on leaderboard for first round. In first place by a wide margin in second round which was supposed to end 3am Dec 31. Oh yea, right. It’s gone!! There is no opt out option and then they stop the contest in the middle? All events for me are gone except for booster wheel. They know this. But events are tests? How about notifying people before they end ‘the test’? This is all so very strange. No other players with me either. They know about this too. This has happened about 48 hours ago and they ‘fixed’ it and now, last night, here it goes again. Is this a common occurrence? I haven’t been a player long, 5406. Yes I’ve logged out and restarted my phone.

Hello @cannottell What you are experiencing is being disconnected from the app store. The same is occurring in one of my games at the moment. I cannot load the app store at all on my old iPhone6 at the moment. If you see no events and are alone on your leaderboard for Winter Cup event then this is an error in connection of the game to the app store. This may be either a fault at King's end or it may be related to changing the time or date on your device. Either way, it's not related to being part of any test group but is an unintentional error of some sort. I can't help you with any advice on how to reconnect I am afraid. At the moment I have not found any way to reconnect my own game to the app store.

Hey @cookiemae apologies for the slow response here but we thought this deserved a response.
One thing that I wanted to clarify regarding "tests" in the game is that these tests are more focused on giving players the best experience of Candy, and not that the events themselves are tests. Some new ones might be tested from time to time, or a part of an event might be tested, but more or less it's about the combinations of events in the game at the same time.
I know that doesn't solve your situation, but I thought I at least might explain that part. I can see how hearing about the events here makes for a frustrating experience when you can't play them in-game. While me or QueenB aren't developers, we can makes sure to keep the developers informed so that they hear your opinions on this as best as we can.
As for the comment by @Boybinary which I also thought I might respond to, and apologies in advance if I'm not fully informed here. As far as I know the events aren't made in a way to exclude specific players or groups, there could be some events that might be tough for players in different ranges of levels to participate in however, so some events might be better suited for some groups of players. In either case the feedback has been noted along with the other responses here in this thread so thank you for that.
If you have an event and then lose it unexpectedly like you mention @cannottell its great if you report it to us as it sounds like something might have gone wrong with your game.
And thanks for the feedback too @Colleen Companion Welsh, while most events are usually optional I understand that you'd like to see a setting to opt out of events where candies are reskinned as an example. If this hasn't already been posted, I'd recommend making a thread in the Ideas section!

How is any of what you said helpful? Just say we at the community don't know how the programming works and have no idea about the A/B testing sham, that would be more acceptable than a bunch of useless words. @cookiemae did you find any of this helpful?
