Facebook connection issues

I want to get rid of Facebook. But my progress in Candy Crush Saga is tied to it. I’ve tried all of the deleting/reinstalling both apps, clearing web history, etc, turning off the phone…yada yada. I have created a king.com account to save my progress once I’m able to log out of my Facebook account. But, I keep getting stuck at a spinning partial green circle when attempting to connect to my account within CCS in an attempt to log out, or after l reinstall and log in to my Facebook the partial green circle keeps spinning and if I click on log out at that time then my progress is not there.
So I’m out of ideas here. If I can’t get this fixed soon then I’ll just delete fb and CCS despite my almost 10,000 level progress.
Apparently, there is a manual merging that can be done to move my progress from fb to my king account. But I don’t see where I can apply for that.
Please help.

FB and CCS are both the most recent versions.
