I've just played 30 games and no episode end in sight (Feb25) so not able to win the usual pot of gold. Has this stopped?
In this case I can confirm it is very likely the patch as I started a new game with the previous patch and the race showed up… well had to replay 50 but that is almost par for the course for windows haha.
Just to be clear @FreePyrolight I am not saying the Episode Race hasn't disappeared because of the patch, but due to the way King do business it could just be gone because that is what they do every now and again.
None of the features of the game are available to every player at the same time. I would normally say with the exception of the Booster Wheel, but I am not 100% sure of that either because a few years ago a few forum members said that they didn't see the Wheel in their game. I can't find those posts now though.
As far as I know everyone new gets the race unless it decides to bug out or King breaks it. I have never had a game on Windows or Mobile where I did not get it, sometimes having to play and old level, unless king has broken something, ie there was a patch and all of a sudden it is gone in Windows for a ton of people.
Going to see if I I can get the previous version of candy crush for windows and I would bet the race is there.
Yes and no @KeepTrying whilst you might have had the Episode Race in your game there are plenty of people that have never had the Episode Race. What this means is that due to the way King manages their features we do not know if those that have lost their Episode this week are part of an ongoing test or if it is just the result of yet another unintended glitch.
People losing their Episode Race is a regular occurrence and in the four years I have been playing it has happened three times. Generally it always returns, but who knows this time you could now just be part of the group that doesn't receive the Episode Race.
