every time I sign in to the game I have to reconnect to Facebook & none of my facebook friends are on the weekly contest

Sorry to hear you're having trouble staying connected to Facebook and seeing your friends in the Weekly Contest. Let's try a few things to fix this:

* Check Facebook Permissions* Go to Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites
* Find Candy Crush Saga and make sure it's still connected
* Ensure that the game has permission to access your Friends List

* Log Out and Back In* In Candy Crush, go to Settings (gear icon)
* Tap Log Out, then restart your device
* Open the game and sign back into Facebook

* Reinstall the Game (if the issue continues)* Uninstall Candy Crush (note: this will remove any saved boosters)
* Reinstall the game and log back into Facebook

Hi and Welcome to the King Community

In most of the events of this game you will find random friends who are not on your friends list but everyone is a player of this game. Since contestants selection is completely random, you cannot remove or skip them because the random process cannot be manually modified.
