the idea is interesting and I like it. However, now you only get one jelly fish instead of three. So it’s not really worth it if you only get one jelly fish out of it. Previously, if you popped a jelly fish, then three fish would appear. Now it’s only one. Please change it back to three.

Well 4 of anything gets a fish. Also they drop like other candies randomly onto the board. Additionally 2 fish = 3 fish.

The big change is as follows:

Jelly fish ALWAYS and only would be "smart" in the old style if there was jelly on the board. If there was none, every move they made was 100% "random".

The new fish now target blockers and requirement items and special candies really mixed bag but those are always last or should be.

Think of a level were there are 10 red candies that need to be cleared but no jelly. The old fish might hit the odd red candy here and there if you were lucky. The new fish will always target the red candies now.

They also exist on every level now, which can get quite helpful. That being said on a level that needs the fish + special candies as a mechanic to win, it is awful.

Play around with it some, you still might hate it in the end but you need to see the mechanic in action. I was pretty dismissive of it at first too.

The new fish will target all blockers and level requirements. So if you play a level with no jelly or after the jelly is cleared, the new fish will still target stuff to help you win while the old fish would not.

Good example is the dragons and trying to drop them off the board. The fish will specifically now hit the candies below them to try and move them down. Makes a world of difference considering how hard clearing that last row(s) under a dragon can be.

I have a post at the top of the second page that goes deeper into the mechanics and the pros and cons. Had the fish for a few weeks and tested across a number of level types.

I wish it would just go back to the original fish. Now when you combine a fish with a booster you only get one fish. What's the point? Now if you combine them your just waisting the booster and the fish.

Not impressed. My level which had 23 turns now went down to 16. The fish aren't that much help.

  • Love it 💙 The Jelly Fish make levels more fun and exciting!

I have tried it and love it I'm use to doing it in some games and would forget and try in Saga now it will work lol 😁

You have made the fish much less useful! We used to be able to rely on the fish to helpfully clear three squares of jelly, now it's just 1 square and not a particularly useful one.

Level 9774 the special fish attack the magic mixer in the centre, which is giving you colour bombs/striped candy in order to pass the level. They are not helping towards the objective as intended. Also the change from 3 special fish to 1 is definitely a bigger loss than any benefit they are meant to provide, that needs changed back.
