It comes up automatically and it is all there is for anyone at the end of the map. So if you don't want to see it, just don't open the game until the next release day for new levels! No player is forced to play the Star Tournament. Most or us don't bother.
I'm not sure I understand this. The Star Tournament at the end of the map is purely optional. If you just never go there, you won't be part of it. You can really just wait another week until the next levels come out, or just play old levels.
There is no way to move forward from there because there are no more levels. You must wait until Wednesday when the next levels come out.
Also, I see no harm in being in the Star Tournament. You can play without boosters, and on average I think that with good play you can complete about 10% of the levels on average, and maybe 20% or more if you are given ads to watch for extra moves at the end. So you can complete a decent number of levels in the Star Tournament and accumulate a decent number of stars without ever using any boosters or spending any gold bars. Last week I had over 400 points in the Star Tournament using only boosters I obtained from watching ads, and I would say at least 150 points of those came from levels I won without using any boosters at all. It just requires playing through (and mostly failing) a bunch of levels to do it. I think a number of the Star Tournament levels are actually pretty fun - somewhat challenging but not too challenging. Most of them are hopeless, though, I admit, without at least some boosters.
