Actually, come to think of it, I'm not sure it doesn't mean the exact opposite. If there was an op out option they wouldn't ask you to "not access or engage with" the tournament. To me this clause would suggest that just by playing Candy Crush you automatically agree to the Terms and Conditions. This is what was the case before. But there are easy ways to make the tournament disappear for good from your account.
Having the timings and durations of the rounds I've come up with my budget and plan:
I haven't decided when to join groups, and it might not matter all that much if King are introducing pacesetters, which I suspect they have been doing in those test leaderboard competitions in the run-up to All Stars. These are the most likely scores needed to achieve to get to the next rounds:
Stage 1: 4 episodes/200,000 points should be enough to get into top 5
Stage 2: 4 episodes/ 200,000 points probably enough to get into top 5
Stage 3: 12 episodes and 600,000 score to reach top 3 / 180 levels
That would take me roughly to level 6000 for the start of the final knockout rounds. Hopefully I can get to this point without spending more gold than I make. Depending on the competitors in my group I might have enough time to use ads or replay levels instead of using gold.
Of course from this point on there is no guarantee that any amount of levels or crushing will see me through. It depends on the luck of who the competitors are:
Stage 4: I expect that 1-2 million is required to win, depending on entry time, roughly 600 levels
Stage 5: If I get this far I'd be at around level 7000. I would expect to need a score of 2-3 million , 1000 levels
Stage 6: non-stop crushing for 24 hours would lead to 4-5 million and require 1500 levels to be played. I might be playing around level 8000.
What could go wrong:
Still I'm kind of looking forward to having a bash at it and see if my calculations works out and if my budget of 22,000 gold is enough to do it.
I and I’m sure many other Community members will be keeping our (seized up) fingers crossed that you win, Christine. Nobody deserves it more with all the preparation and research you have done since last year just for this. I hope no personal issues derail you, and also that you will be able to avoid the toxicity that the All Stars engenders on these boards from people who think they can just waltz in and win.
It would be lovely to see at least one Community member get to the final, so good luck too to @MannyFae, @cookiemae, @Alienscar, @Carol-38 (though I suspect that like me you can’t really compete), @Pyrowhateverthismonth’sversionis, and everyone else in here. Fingers crossed for you all x
Ah thanks for this lovely message @teenybee !
Christine thank you for the info!
I was not expencting the All Stars to be so early.
Good luck to everyone ! 🎉
😂 @teenybee I've never actually received it for the past 2 years so can't imagine I will this year either. But as most of you know I'm not interested in Leaderboards so wouldn't even consider it if I did get it.
But I will be keeping my 🤞🤞🤞for @christinewupp for sure.
If they offer an opt out I am taking it.
Also this month is easy. It is spring, so Pyrospring :P
I think capping each level on limit of purple candies is fair. This eliminates folks from exploiting game and collecting an ungodly amount of candies.
Your dragon strategy if fascinating, I've never heard of this. Good for you for figuring out these nice loop holes!
Can someone post the entire terms and conditions? They have removed the page and I want to know know the dates so I can plan my work around the tournamenttournament @christinewupp

Someone was not supposed to tell us about that yet ><
I mean it was kinda odd it was up before any official announcement was made.
