@christinewupp did you mean £300 or £3000? I would think it would take £3000 to buy 30,000 gold bars at the price you give (and hence be able to afford 1440 party poppers)? I am wondering if I am misunderstanding how you are suggesting this to be done, or if my calculations are mistaken.
I certainly agree with the rest of what you have here. I suspect the people who make it to live finals are almost always all people who have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars, perhaps many thousands, in order to make it there. It is intriguing to think it might be possible to get there without spending any real money, but it seems the odds are stacked against it. One of the things that has motivated me is curiosity of wondering how close one can get without spending any money (with ads, or even better, like you do, without ads). I like you suspect 22,000 gold bars isn't enough, but it seems like it might be getting close to enough, so I am curious. Last year I came close to making the final stage. I probably could have made it if I hadn't had other things going on that day at the same time and if I had been willing to spend all of my gold bars, but I realized it was hopeless to do anything in the final stage if I spent everything I had and thought better of it and gave up towards the end of the 5th stage last year, and therefore came in second place in it. (Fun fact - the person who beat me in that 5th stage is one of my "Besties" now, and we regularly exchange lives.) I was thinking of at least trying to make it to the final stage this year if I can, just to see what life is like in that stage. If I am given the chance to compete, I will try. I am really interested in seeing how close you can come with your 22,000 gold bars!
Yes, I think I left a 0 out. 1000 gold cost 100, so yes 30,000 will cost £3000. I'll change that thanks. Thank you for pointing it out!
I was also curious to know where the 18,000 gold bars would allow me to go. Eventually, with some speed and lucidity and also a bit of luck, I think we would have our chances. From the response we received, we are considered cheaters for playing well and accumulating gold, but if we alternatively paid the aforementioned €3000 for gold, we would already be eligible for the tournament. They cant hide the fact that this event is a money digger.
My second game I had won 1,664 episode races. Did the chocolate box as well. Episode race normally you can win if you play it during a certain time frame. Is that cheating? What about all the chocolate boxes we win for boosters and gold is that cheating? Daily wins, watching ads ect...which gives you many boosters that you don't need to use a lot so you have many many of those boosters. Is that cheating? Will I be banned from all stars once I start using my boosters and gold ? Will I be reported to King as a cheater once the event starts because of my high scores and banned? I have had it and will not play in the all stars no point. Yes I will still play the game because I enjoy it as it is but these events now I have no interest in.
@Boybinary Please let us know if you are in the event but remember you are still part of AB unless they remove you when they add you to the all stars event. Anyway I have had it with this foolishness from King. I will just play as usual and will not concern myself with these events that we don't get.
Haha I have 2 chances to get in the event, slim and none! I wouldn't expect them to do the right thing, they know they will never get a penny out of me! To answer your question I am not in the event as of yet.
Need to be cautious in every move since boosters are at stake.
It is frustrating and disgusting that players from Africa and Asia are excluded from the Candy Crush All Stars event! There is no logical reason to ignore millions of players who invest their time and money in the game. This geographic discrimination creates an unjustified gap between players and diminishes the enjoyment of the experience for everyone.
It is unacceptable that major rewards and special events are limited to certain regions while the game itself is available worldwide. All players, regardless of their geographic location, deserve an equal opportunity to participate in special events. This kind of discrimination makes us feel undervalued, as if our contributions to the game are less important simply because of where we live.
It is disappointing that a company as large as King, which claims to care about all its players worldwide, would adopt such unfair policies. If the game is accessible globally, then all events and rewards should be equally available to everyone.
We demand a clear and reasonable explanation for this unfair decision and call on the company to respect all its players and provide an equal experience without discrimination or exclusion. Continuing this kind of bias will negatively affect players' loyalty and trust in the company..
You are making a very valid point and I must admit King have taken me by surprise on this one. Given that their player base in North America and Europe is probably dwindling while I strongly suspect that the player base in Asia is booming (just take a look at the majority of posts in the Support forum as evidence) I was expecting King to find a way to include Asia this year, like they did with the Music Tournament in the autumn.
They have not. They will not give you the reason for this but it is probably legal. All Stars remains an event for the elite.
Rest assured @abdoMl that by not including Asia King are the only ones to lose out. Asia is no doubt a lucrative market. No player from outside Europe or North America can win any money from a tournament that requires travel to the US in order to gain the cash prize. Anyone from South America is also effectively excluded since they would need to obtain a visa at short notice to claim the prize which in practice is very difficult. Be glad that the millions of players in Asia are not being treated the same as those from Brazil: given hope to win a million dollars but all they would end up is losing thousands of dollars for nothing. No player from outside the visa waiver countries can get to the All Star finals. This is not the reason why King have excluded Asia (as they do include much of South America) but it is a very valid practical reason, so it was the right decision, given they decided to make it a live final taking place in California again. In order to include all of the world All Stars would have to become a virtual event.
@christinewupp Your justification for why these players are excluded makes perfect sense. But King could have fixed this by simply putting a much longer delay between the online portion and live finals. If they put a long enough delay (say, six months), most countries could have been included; it's a shame they aren't willing to do that.
