Yes, cookiemae said 60000 gold bars. And @Colleen Companion Welsh has close to 50000. If you're never going to be allowed in All Stars, there's no need for all that many gold bars; I'm trying to figure out whether I want to stop watching ads and just burn through them now; seems pointless to have them without All Stars to compete in. Maybe I will still be allowed to play in the tournaments for party poppers and such, so it might be worth it to have some of this for that.

You should be able to go through all the levels up through about 16500 or so without really needing to burn through any gold bars. Spend a few here and there for UFOs, and maybe the occasional party popper, but mostly just watch ads for the other boosters and you should be able to still slowly accumulate gold bars. You can afford to do 2 to 3 episode races every day if you want, but it's counterproductive to building gold bars to do much more than that, and only do that if your boosters from watching ads hold out through the day at that pace. At a rate of 3 episode races per day, it takes a little over a year to go from start to finish on the map. If you're still getting superchargers, I found that it was worth it, especially in the last couple thousand levels, to go really fast when they're active to get through the tough levels there. There are just too many blockers, and double super color bombs are far too helpful. So there it is best to go fast and keep the win streaks going so as not to lose the super color bombs (and always match them at the beginning of each level, if at all possible, even spending quite a few boosters to do so). Doing that I only lost about 5000 gold bars getting through the last couple thousand levels, and that seems to be less than most people spend. But you will likely need a fair amount saved up to get through those levels.

Once at the end of the map, you can maintain the end and very slowly grow gold bars (seems no more than about 200 per week) by watching lots of ads and just going crazy with the free switches and hammers to get through the new levels each week. It feels a bit tedious without so many events. But it sounds like you're really being deprived of a lot of events already, so it might be really rougher for you. Still, if you do what I said above (and really try to get through each episode race and chocolate box on time, as long as you're still getting those), you should be able to make progress through the map and grow your gold bars until those last couple thousand levels. But it will require you getting through the episode races in time; if you can't manage that, it might be tough.
