I’m tired of being in the 7000 and playing against people in the hundreds on the leaderboards. More of their games are easier and I feel it gives them an unfair advantage

This has been true since the first tournament. If you want to legit compete in this tournament, you need to plan a year in advance and restart with a new account.
It's unlikely they will ever change this rule. The folks at the bottom of the levels are more inclined to spend money. If you are at the end levels or high levels, it means you are good and probably don't need boosters.
I have been preparing for this tournament for 18 months.
I have complained about this twice and nothing has been done. I’m on level 11000+ and am always put against new players. Totally unfair.
