Just came back to the game after a long break, the fish are worthless now! What happened?
I AGREE! The fish only do their job if there are jellies to eat, or if a marmalade/toffee swirl are directly underneath the gummi dragons. But we absolutely can not trust using them with a striped or color bomb candy anymore—the fish purposely navigate to the LEAST desirable position on the board. Also, it will go out of its way to get rid of a Magic Mixer above all else in most cases—objective be darned (purposely misspelled). The fish have essentially become a waste of a move. I know this for a fact because I have consistently tested the theory during each gameplay, and they have consistently compromised that level’s objective each time.
Oh, and once you’re one or two moves from winning… you can forget their previous goal of clearing jellies or marmalade! They’re back to doing completely irrelevant moves just like if you were to have combined it with a striped candy..
And don’t get me started on losing a level then ALL of a sudden 3 candy color bombs (you desperately needed) fall on the board… OR the game makes the call you’ve lost and stops it… even though you see that the candies fallen since your last move could have detonated! (I took a screenshot of it too) It’s all a ploy to spend your bars.😅😏
I just posted about this too 😭 I think the issue is that the fish are correlated to the actual level goal - which is usually something on the last row like rainbow candies, but there’s always bunch of other things in the way to getting to the final goal. It seems like the fish aren’t programmed to eat all the special candies, they’re only targeting the goals for level completion. This however seems to not apply to skull candy rows, which I have experienced ARE targeted by the fish. I submitted it as a support ticket through the app - go to help center, new level/level help, contact us!
