Is is ok to lose a life while playing in the All Stars? I've been using a lot of boosters and gold bars to always pass on 1st try.
Also, I haven't had a super color bomb in a long time - how do I get those back?
In general @HappyL yes, of course it is okay to lose a level during All Stars. It will not knock you out of the competition. Only Candy Royale knocks players out for losing their win streak and in normal play I definitely would always advise to let go of a win streak if you see the situation on any one (usually legendary) level is hopeless. I recommend players never spend more than 10 gold bars per level to keep a win streak. The game asks for more and more gold for each 5 moves after that and it can become very costly to hold on to a win streak at all costs. If we do let go of a win streak we usually get offered more and more added moves for just 10 gold bars. So we could quite easily replay the level five times and at the fifth time pay 10 gold bars for 25 added moves, which would be enough to pass.
Specifically in All Stars Final Knockout Rounds 2 and 3 this method however will not work. These rounds will be hugely competitive and only the best and fastest players are now left in the competition. Your chances of winning your leaderboard are tiny if you have to replay levels or if you have to watch ads to get extra moves. It will not work to win the leaderboard, but think about what you would have to invest to stand a chance at all. There are about 50,000 players left now fighting for just 10 places in the live finals. So don't spend more money than you can easily afford.
