Saved Progress

Earlier today, I chose for the first time to save my progress as I was getting a new phone. After the save, my game reset to level 0 on the phone I was trading in.

I now have the new phone, and when logging in the level is now correct, but all of my gold and unused items are reset to zero.

I would appreciate an explanation
