As I am totally bored with the game, I stopped playing for a week.

When I returned, yesterday, my win streak of 300+ had disappeared @QueenB @kiara_wael.

I expected features like the Daily Treat Calendar to go back to the start, but not my win streak ?? Is this the influence of AI ??

I played 1 Episode and am totally bored again. Whoever is now responsible for this game should have a good long look at the train wreck they have created. No longer any skill required, just heaps of boosters to blast away.

To be honest with you @cookiemae the side games I get I can't be bothered with (bothered being my polite word). I sometimes get Top That on a Monday but have to wait for the new levels on a Wednesday to play. Yes I know it can be played via Star Tournament, but you know how I feel about that. I would have to use more boosters than I ended up getting so no point for me. I got Dice of Destiny weeks and weeks ago, but again until finishing all levels we can't play older levels and the time ended before I actually got anything. I can't be bothered (polite word again) with Leaderboards, I always get players who play non stop and whizz to the top. Don't feed the Troll, I'll keep my 🤐 on that one.

So really I don't get anything better than you 😕

I knew when I got to this stage that I wasn't going to complete this with the remaining moves. Took a Party booster and more than one UFO to get the board to a stage I could pass with the last 9 moves.

Look at Yeti's stupid face on the level below, he knew it would be impossible with the last 3 moves. And guess what I'd already used a Party booster to get to this stage. No strategy, no fun on these kind of levels.

Hi @cookiemae I've just started another episode today, so here is what I've been given as events today: Jelly streak and Factory Frenzy. (Sometimes I see Top That, but not today (yet). I do have that in my other account this week. ) I don't think I ever see either Candy Royale nor the super charger colour bomb in my top of the map account.

Here is level 19176 to illustrate what I mean about needing to play party poppers all the time. I am sure I carried out the best possible moves here. And yet, I get to this point:

There is just no way I can pass this in six more moves without playing a party popper, is there? How would you play this level? After the party popper I still need to play a UFO.

It's still not enough:

In fact it is, as I can use that timed lollipop hammer to pass this now (on the yellow in the bottom row), tell me, how would you have passed this without a party popper? Am I just being given unlucky boards and the wrong candies dropping?

I never had the super color bombs in my game. So they would be on the starting board if I had them? So yes you are right they are different.

I was thinking (I do that sometimes) that the starting boards would all need to be the same but how AL decides the candy drops might be different. It couldn't be the way I play. I have never had the iced color bomb either. Plus my lack of events I think might make my game play different. Even though king has stopped the early levels for windows and we all have the same levels now they still have only added the episode race and the top hat to my game. I guess my group just will not get events. I would be interested in knowing what other players at the top have such lack of events but no one here has posted this issue that I have seen other than Boybinary. I just think it would be more fun to have those side events.

Starting boards are never the same, that much I do know. I have played identical levels on two separate new player accounts and found for example that one player had their two colour bomb side by side and the other did not. It would be interesting to see yours, so thanks in advance.

I agree with Carol. Some of the new levels are inherently designed to not be possible to pass without strong boosters and these are often the ones where we need to bring down keys to open up part of the board or those with order locks. To bring down those keys we have to first open up the portal underneath the key dropper. Those levels often start with a very blocked up board and very few possible first moves. I feel that I MUST play a party popper within my first three moves to open up the board or else I will stand no chance to get those keys in time. I would love to see your approach to such boards and how in your game you manage to pass such levels with only starting boosters or a few minor boosters. It would be really interesting to see your starting board. I will look out for any specific levels of the type I mean in the remaining episodes I have not yet played.

You're definitely not insane @cookiemae and we are never going to know how or if the board is presented differently for some of us. But I get so many levels where I don't get any matches at all near keys, sculls, snakes etc. So no way of clearing them to play the rest of the board without many, and I mean many boosters. I haven't finished them all yet, stocking up on whatever boosters I can first.

I just am not sure of the issues with the new levels I haven't finish them yet but I have been enjoying them so far. I sometimes wonder am I insane (lol) because I find the new levels so far fun.

Now that would be helpful @Nobody1 but from past experiences over the years, tell King what the good levels are and they change them to Nightmarishly Hard or the like. Yes I've still got my Moaning Minnie Pinny on but I haven't seen any changes in players favour for a very very long time 😕. I do still have hope though, that's my trouble, keep thinking things will get better, but they don't.

What might be most helpful would be to specifically point out the best ones. That's how you train a good AI normally - tell it good ones vs bad ones and it eventually learns how to make good ones.

I would agree 19157 was a pretty fun level, if a little easy. So more like this would be good. If we can identify levels that are fun and reasonably difficult, we could have them aim at those with the AI. It might really help them make a better game.

Right, so now I'm getting back to the end of the map I'll give some constructive feedback on these new levels. I used starting boosters throughout and played boosters only to keep my win streak, no gold for extra moves. I will note down which element other than pointless blockers I encounter:

19146 - order locks, candy cake. - used 1 pp and 1 ufo to pass

19147 - bonbon blitz - used 1 pp, 2 ufo and 1 lp/hand to pass

19148 - liquorice cane - no boosters needed

19149- liquorice cane - 1pp, 2ufo, 1 stripe, 1 lp/hand to pass

19150 - rainbow rapids, candy cake, keys - 1pp, 2 ufo, 4 lp/hand, 1 stripe (keys portals are too late to open and then too slow to produce the keys needed)

19151 - sour skull, bonbon blitz- no boosters needed

19152 - no interesting features 4 lp/hand, boring

19153 - cobra, 1 pp, 1ufo

19154 - candy cake, no boosters needed

19155 - order locks, liquorice cane , 1pp, 1lp/hand, 2 striped ( enjoyable level)

19156 - no interesting elements, 1ufo, 1 lp/hand

19157 - order lock, liquorice cane, skulls , no boosters needed (enjoyable level!)

19158 - liquorice cane, rainbow rapids, 1 pp, 1 lp/hand

19159 - order lock, 1 pp

19160- colour jars (can't remember name at the moment), order locks, cakes, easy and no boosters needed

I think that the AI is still struggling to make levels both complex and difficult at the same time. Maybe you still need to use a human brain for that level of lateral thinking. The AI needs to learn how to make levels both complex (such as having three fun elements like level 19160, but also not so easy to pass (like level 19160 above).

Please instruct the AI to make levels both interesting and challenging at the same time! That would be great and might save the game from continuous decline @QueenB

So the Candy Crush developers have a news article thanking AI for helping them create levels. Are they thanking AI because it has given them a reason to get rid of level designers, saving them more money. It definitely can't be because levels are now more fun and exciting to play, because they aren't. Might be a good idea for the Candy Crush developers to play the new levels, but they must play without having any gold bars or boosters. Let's see how far they get with that and if they still think it's a good, fun, relaxing game. Also as I've said in the past, if we're now going to be given 60 new levels a week, more side games should be given that doesn't include having to pass new levels and leaderboards. It isn't a great time as said in a post above, 'for us players as we get to enjoy more levels every week'. It's really a ploy to get those at the top to start paying or for those who already do, to pay more.

Let's face it, for those who want to play more levels every week, they have the Star Tournament. So let's have new levels being put back to 45 and checked before release by the designers so that they become fun again.

I disagree. It's just an extra 15 levels of boredom. The most interesting levels in Candy Crush are those in the ranges that King have not had the time to rewrite, those levels that still remain such as those in the 7000s which humans designed with care and thinking. A smattering of old levels does remain, though I don't give them long. Ever since the AI took over the levels have become noticeably monotonous, boring and repetitive.

Have none of you noticed that since about level 18,000 the game has been dumbed down at these upper levels? It has been obvious how AI have taken over writing and rewriting levels for months now.

The more recent boards all have either no interesting elements at all, or they contain just one element different from levels 1-3000. Essentially the AI is fed the following brief: Create the same levels as in the lower ranges, then change the level difficulty so that instead of passing with one party popper or super colour bomb combo players will need two party poppers or two party poppers plus extra moves, so that means increasing the number of blocker layers. Then in each episode one of the elements not seen in the early part of the game is added, usually the same element throughout the episode. This is what I mean by dumbed down. If that is the kind of game you enjoy then fine, but I prefer the old candy crush where there were still some surprises and some interesting levels.

@Lindark Yes it's great for us at the top of the map. Hopefully they will continue with these amounts of levels.
