I’m just wondering what the highest level on candy crush that has been reached is? My Grandfather is on level 17,226 and i can’t imagine there are many people that are much higher than that.

King do not share numbers with us, but there may well be a million players who have reached the same level as your grandfather. There are many players who have reached as far as level 17,226 but have since left the game: King make the last 2000 levels of Candy Crush very tough and expensive to pass, so players who have run out of boosters and gold often stop playing at this point.
There are tons of people at the end of the map. Currently it's the level 19325. New levels are added every Wednesday.
