Posts gone for approval June 2025: Why?

Why are posts suddenly going for approval @QueenB ?

I had a hunch this one this morning might be one of them. So I copied it before posting. And it did exactly that. It is so bad I can now even predict which of my posts won't get published!

I find replies to newbies are being sent for approval. Not replies to my friends or additions to my own discussions.

I also have a hunch that mentioning King in my replies now sends them for approval. This is new to this last week.

I will check to see if this thread will post before continuing.

not sure what’s going on with the game but 5 of us have been on the same level in the same episode for 3 days now. There is no way that the level I’m stuck on that I could win in 23 moves without boosters. Simply disappointing.

Hello @Snow_Rider thanks for your reply. I did link the thread in my previous post. In fact since I posted about the "bool" format body I have been able to edit those posts and remove all posts I wanted to delete myself, so all is good now, thank you.

We're currently going through some backend updates on the forum to better handle spam attacks, and the "format body" message must be part of those recent changes. Would you mind sharing the link to the thread where you saw that message? We'd love to investigate it further and make sure everything is working as it should.

This is ridiculous. Now all the posts that went for approval are being shown and I am STILL unable to access that thread and therefore unable to edit those silly posts! I get a message about formatting on "bool" shown below:

Is there anyone here who knows what this means and if I can edit those posts?? Failing this, @QueenB can you delete my posts in the following thread please as I can't access them:

Thanks, yes you are right, of course. But after over a year of being allowed to write just about anything because of legendary status I feel like I've been sent back to school.

You are right though please try not to take any action that is the result of a filter personally. A filter is just pure algorithm.

I had a temporary "spam block" on my account this morning after I kept trying to post using different words in one thread. It won't even allow me to post the word "test" in that thread now. It goes straight for approval. That seems very personal and insulting. But I guess an AI knows nothing about that sort of thing.

I think there are certain questions King don't want us to answer and they want only the official King answers for those from official sources. It is very off putting.

It's got worse today, not better. Didn't even have to mention the "m" word. Got spam blocked then by the AI, and all I see on the front page today is real spam. The AI running of the community is going to be the end of it. They'd be better off just either leaving it to us or closing the whole place down for good.

There always seems to be a little problem here and there @christinewupp only through reading through a few posts have I seen that you tagged me, but I wasn't notified. It HAD gone for approval. It must have appeared fairly quickly after that, but initially it had gone for approval. Must have got approved pretty quickly, apparently within one hour.

Thank you for your effort to try to get to the bottom of this! I see four notifications, two with a "permission problem" from you. One posted and one deleted. I think the "m o n e y" issue seems to shed some light on it. I guess if every post mentioning this word now goes for approval we can hardly say anything at all.

Thanks for flagging this! And sorry for the inconvenience 😕 we’re currently trying to fine-tune the filter to catch spam posts asking about “how to make money” in the game. It looks like we haven’t quite found the sweet spot yet 😅

Since the weekend is coming up, there might still be a few hiccups, but we’re on it and doing our best to get it just right. Really appreciate your patience while we work it out!

Hi @christinewupp logically there is no need to check your post for words that might be on the filter list as you have posted it above with no issue, so there must obviously be something else going on. It wasn't so long ago that this forum had an issue that caused a lot of posts to be sent for approval for no reason, so I wonder if Vanilla has yet another issue (or the same).

Last week I noticed the board headers at the top (Discussion, Support etc) were constantly moving around as I was on the site. That might mean they were trying to fix something or install something new

I do wonder if Zeus is right and they are experimenting with adding * related words to the filter list. Problem is he has posted * above and the filter would have caught that if * were on the list

When I first joined this forum if you flagged more than one post for moderation too quickly, or edited a post immediately after posting you used to get a warning calling you a __ and it then stopped you posting anything else for three minutes.

This system was seriously flawed as it did nothing to stop actual __. It has been removed as a warning banner, but I wonder if some of that system is still being used as a lot of posts still get sent for approval after they have been edited.

So this was my reply to the question about loss of win streak that @zeus77 and @Nobody1 had already answered.

"You are describing exactly what King want players to believe. The game is set around players thinking that if they lose their win streak it's a great loss. I can assure you that this is an illusion crafted by the game. The super charger was introduced to the game for the purpose of making money for King, not for the benefit of players, because it gives the illusion that if you let go of it levels will suddenly get harder to pass.

I am one of those players who often lets go of their win streaks. In fact some levels are so hard that you will not pass them on your first attempt no matter what win streak and what starting boosters you have and in the upper reaches of the game some of these will require more than 10 gold bars to pay to pass. This means that players who do play to keep their win streak at all cost are using a method that costs more gold bars than players who use a different method, which is to replay those blocker levels until the game offers us 35+ extra moves for the price of 10 gold bars. There are not many of such blocker levels. There are probably none up to level 3000 and near the end of the game in the 17,000+ range you may get several per episode.

We are all players here like yourself, so none of us speak for King or can help, just talk about our own experiences with the game. If our games crash they never give players compensation. You are lucky this did not happen near the end of Candy Royale, that is really grim when it happens at that point as you lose he event and all the gold you would have earned from it. "

Please could anyone here check the above paragraphs for any "forbidden" words.
