Hello @QueenB I have mentioned more than once how frustrating the number and length of the game's animations are.
Well today King has surpassed themselves as I have just noticed a new animation that really clarifies how King aren't interested in the player experience.
The Weekly Contest isn't a race and it isn't even a contest. None of the players in my Contest can see me and their position in their Contest has no relation to their position in my Contest. In reality the Contest is nothing more than a graph showing me how the number of levels I play compares to other players' progress.
The Weekly Contest takes place over seven days and the only thing that matters is your final position at the end of week. It is not a race so updating the progress of the Contest in the same manner as a leaderboard is pointless. There is absolutely no need to update the Weekly Contest after every level. The only conclusion I can draw is that King know how pointless this is and have only introduced the animation as a way of wasting all of the timed boosters they hand out as rewards.
I won't be playing anymore levels until this has gone.
