it would be about the time equal players to be matched in weekly competition. It is not equal at all, to match 3 completely new players with 100+ score to the game with advanced players 11000 +!!!!!

No I didn't get factory frenzy. I did get top hat once. I see your point tho. Unfortunately I only get the basic events that everyone get. The daily wheel, chocolate box events that are not side games. Since windows levels are the same as mobile now I have been getting the episode race not the fake flag but once. I get that super bomb now. I really like it playing those bomb is so much fun. Anyway thanks for explaining.
The weekly race is like the episode race, fixed by King. The episode race you have to finish the episode in a certain time to win. The weekly race you have to play a certain number of levels in the week to win. It's almost exactly the same. It's determined by an algorithm, like everything in Candy Crush. Don't you get Factory Frenzy either @cookiemae ? That is working in a similar manner. In that event you have an hour to collect a certain number of striped candies. The event has had a revamp today and they've made it look like a leaderboard, but it's as fake as fake can be.
Here I had to get more than 449 striped candies to win the event, which I just managed to do.
Instead of making it more fancy looking King should fix this event:
I've never gotten so many UFOs by not playing a single level before. This is rather boring so they should fix this one.
@christinewupp I wish I had more events. On this event do people not win because of the lower level players? I know the player cards are not correct could this be true for this event? Just wondering.
It angers so many players that all of their weekly race contestants are new players who only started to play the previous week, and I have seen so many posts about this.
I assume King choose only new players so that the computer can pick bespoke opponents suited to our games. Given that it frustrates players week after week King should rethink this event: By far the easiest method to stop the frustration would be to remove the player cards from the Weekly Contest! We don't see player cards for opponents in events like Factory Frenzy or Jelly Streak. Without the player cards we don't know what levels those opponents are on, so these events don't seem so unfair even though the outcome is fixed in a very similar way to that of the weekly contest. Just don't show people the player cards and there won't be any complaints about lack fo fairness!
So long as they keep the player cards I am determined to figure out how King pick the opponents of this event. I always see one player in first place I can only catch if I play hundreds of levels, two further players who ensure I play as much as I usually do to get onto the 2nd or 3rd podium place, and then the rest are duds most of who stopped playing by the time the event started for me. I always see that same pattern.
I tried to make a real time test here and to my surprise found that there may be a time delay of three weeks in the response time:
It doesn't matter if the event is fake or not @christinewupp the complaint made by @Spandora is still valid. When a player is at level 11,000 having a 'record' of someone completing 100+ levels in their Contest isn't going to trick or manipulate the player into playing over 100 levels as I imagine that would be quite a challenge for someone at those levels.
The more levels you pass this week the harder opponents King will pick for you in the future.
To be honest I don't see this happening in my game. As you know I don't complete new levels on a regular basis (or at all lately) but each week my Contest is 'won' by a player that has completed over 75 levels. It used to be that the less I played the more my Contest had non-playing or low scoring players. That doesn't happen anymore.
The event is fake. The other players are not playing against you. The players are picked by King according to your recent progress and these players are not themselves playing against you nor see you in their games. This event is about how many levels you can pass in one week. Try to pass enough to get onto the podium each week. The more levels you pass this week the harder opponents King will pick for you in the future.
This is what the game states:
No mention of any other players….. It is just you against the game, like the Episode Race, Candy Royale and all those other illusionary events where the opponents are just recordings especially picked by King for us to compete against. It's all one big trick and manipulation, don't believe anything is real in Candy Crush!
